Embracing Eco-Friendly Practices
Your Option Services will always attempt to ensure we are working in line with best practice and really understanding what our clients actually want from us.
We have been and will continue to embrace eco-friendly practices within the workplace. We want to keep your properties, gardens & places you love clean and tidy, so why would we not want to keep the environment clean?
Eco Green Cleaning services and products are the cleaning procedures which are classed as safe for the environment and do not emit any toxic fumes… But there are so many different types of cleaning products which are labelled as ‘green’, so what does this really encompass? If a product is green, it should meet ALL of the following criteria:
- Safe for water, ecosystems and fish
- Made from plants and not petroleum
- Biodegradable
- Better for the air quality (less smog)
- No carcinogens
- Produces less waste for landfills
- Better for energy conservation
- Sustainable ingredients
A normal product that is full of chemicals may be aggressive and good at removing some pretty big stains however, they can also be aggressive on people’s health and the environment.
Embracing eco-friendly practices does not just mean utilising chemicals that are safer for the environment, but it means minimising all the various other environmental impacts that arise in making and using cleaning products, such as energy consumption & waste disposal but also utilising energy-efficient equipment.
In line with our eco-friendly practices, here at Your Option giving back is at the heart of what we do. Now anyone can participate in giving back to the community however, we believe that businesses can and should make a much larger impact. We focus on building a rapport with our clients within their own communities; this is largely helped by the fact our operatives live within the communities they are working in; which subsequently helps with reducing our carbon footprint and the need to travel.
So, how are we keeping things eco-friendly whilst giving back? Your Option Services have been working closely with Re-Use now, if you would like to know more about the work that they do, please check out their website Home – Reuse Network (reuse-network.org.uk). Quite often when we have completed a job we often have unwanted items that we need to remove from properties, rather than taking these straight to a waste site we work closely with Re-Use to therefore help to reduce poverty, tackle waste and offer brighter and better futures for the most isolated individuals within our communities.
