National Dog Day 2023
Please see our latest blog post ahead of National Dog Day and some pictures of the Your Option Team dogs!
National Dog Day was established in 2004 by an animal advocate, to celebrate the heroism of every dog. Sadly, each year, millions of dogs become homeless because they are unwanted or their owners are unable to care for them. The day aims to raise awareness about the number of dogs that are currently in rescue centres and shelters and encourage the adoption of these beautiful animals. 🐶
Dogs not only play with us but they also play many important roles within our lives. They protect us, boost our mental and physical health and also maybe steal the odd shoe or two…
By adopting, supporting or rehoming a dog not only are you completely changing that dogs life for the better; providing it with stability, love, warmth and a lifelong friendship; but that dog will also completely change your life in return.
There is a reason that dogs are known best as being ‘man’s best friend’, they love unconditionally without judgement, they can make you laugh on those down days, they provide support when there is possibly no one else to do so.
Of course not everyone is in a position to be able to re-home or adopt a dog, but every little helps; donating blankets, food or toys to your local rescue centre or shelter can also make the biggest difference all round.
Please join us in sharing a picture of your pooch to celebrate the joy they bring!
